I'm still dealing with the camera dilemma. Should I get it fixed, should I just get something else, should I just say fuck it and go back to film or even video. The video thing I must admit is really quite tempting, I mean I have to get a few other things in order first, but I really miss shooting, we used to have GL2's, nice SD cameras for the money. I mean now you pretty much have to go HD if you're going to shoot anything these days. Still I think I would miss photography to much to just give it up totally. Yes I know I can do both, I'll probably do just that at some point. I'm looking at a couple of nice Pro Nikon options, D2X's or even

What happens when 5lbs of camera and lens go from 60km an hour to zero in a split second? Nothing good I can tell you. In fact it's all bad from what I can see. The details are far too depressing so I'm not going to rehash them, suffice it to say I'm waiting to hear if the repair bill is going to be around the $800.00 mark or the scarier $1200.00+ range. The iMac has been replaced with a Macbook (the Pro's DVD drive died so I went with a MB instead) seeing as a need for mobile shooting has come up. There's a new Canon 24-70mm L 2.8 and 50mm 1.4 added to the family. The 24-70mm 2.8 is one of the most versatile lenses in the Canon arsenal, often called the eventer's lens, it covers so much ground it's no wonder it can be hard locating one in stores. This one took about a month to get in. I've also added a 580EX II to the mix as well, I know it's a flash, but it's be great improved over the previous version. I shot some professional rodeo bull riding the other weekend, I'll post some of those
